So what justifies your comments to me previously then? What is odd that I put my first initial and my last name? There is nothing out of the ordinary in my profile. Hell theres individuals that don't even put their real name on the profile and you're giving me shit because I put my first initial...you need to find something else better to do. Russell stated he had no conclusive answer as to why the cranks snapped so a phone call to them would be pointless. If Steve is having an engine built by SZs builder then be my guest. Running a wider rod journal doesn't solve he oiling issue with the cranks nor the block. Greg has never discussed his "theory" on this nor shown evidence that this modification works but ppl are buying it. I've never seen any images of the results of running this wider bearing/journal combo. When you look at the rod journal there's really no room for a wider rod bearing. Why are you running a wider rod bearing and not a wider rod to accommodate the extra area? So essentially from what I view this is that you have a wider bearing hanging out over the sides of the big end of the rod with the aftermarket connecting rod having the same dimensions as stock. The more you take away from the cheek the more you weaken the structural design...less material...more abuse...its going to give and when it does...its not going to be good. A stock crank holds up. The one crank that snaps and no one can give an answer as to what was the issue seems very premature to start looking at a billet crankshaft. That's the reason why I'm having this test done to find out the composition of the stock crank. You'll notice I've made no statements about how weak the crank is and where its weak points are as honestly I have no clue until I find the composition of the crankshaft and perform a tensile test. On another note...why isn't Steve posting on this subject? Steve emailed me a spec sheet for me to fill out to send to Scat and now suddenly he's going with SZ...(I knew this was going to happen...after the aftermath of statements that SZ has said about Matt Z Garage) All I wish is for Steve to get the absolute best on this build. Honestly widening the rod journal just isn't going to solve anything in the way fixing the oiling issue what so ever. And for the record I'm not bashing SZ so don't even go there. I just know how these things work. I've been through it enough times to know what is said and what is done. In the end I look forward to seeing some sort of analysis on everything to do with this blown engine.
